HISTORY OF THE EXHIBITION:

The Exhibition at The Exploratory in Bristol was set up following the closure of the BEHIND THE SOFA Exhibition at MOMI in London.

Many of the actual displays themselves which had been created for the London Exhibition were transferred here and reinstalled in a dedicated display area within the Exploratory Museum. It was an added attraction to the Exploratory's other displays and science orientated exhibits. It was an interesting decision to house another Exhibition so close to Longleat but this did not impact on visitor numbers at the latter ! The Dr Who Experience ran between July 1st and 1st November in 1993 before being dismantled to contribute display material to Longleat and the Llangollen Exhibition.
